The article is devoted to the hender aspects of development of school education on the territory near Volga in the context of emancipation in the second half of XIX-th – beginning of XX-th century. The author analyses the pace and direction of women's education due to the processes of evolution of hender stereotypes, urbanization, models of demographic behavior.
