The article discusses the dynamics of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in sectors and industries of the global economy in the 2009-2018. This analysis gets opportunity to identify trends and the most promising sectors for M&A transactions and groups of countries in which investors prefer to invest in the development of enterprises, as a result of which the latter save on research costs.
