Представлен обзор современной литературы по проблемам классификации, клинических проявлений, диагностики и подходов к хирургическому лечению деформаций позвоночника у взрослых больных. Актуальность проблемы определяется не только техническими возможностями в хирургии позвоночника, но и расширением показаний к оперативным вмешательствам у данной категории больных. Выбор оптимальной тактики лечения является основной проблемой хирургии деформаций позвоночника у взрослых.
