Russian literature-culture determines special educational mission of Russian literature. At the same time Russian classic has given examples of very careful, implicit education of youth. Sometimes tutors characters are not visible, and yet their actions are effective. A special place in this series takes Grinev father from the novel “The Captain's Daughter”. Unfortunately, because of the neglect to the historical realities of the second half of the XVIII century, researchers have not paid sufficient attention to the “implicit” pedagogy of A. P. Grinev based on fostering a sense of personal responsibility and careful, covert, taking care of his son. Teacher reading of Pushkin prose opens up new horizons for domestic cultural studies and pedagogy.
