Ideas of holistic school in the theory and practice of modern education

Alternative ideas of a group of German authors on the holistic school have been analyzed and creative approaches to curriculum organization at Russian school have been illustrated as not only Russian but also global education is being modernized. This fact actualizes the search for new paradigms in the development of pedagogical theory and practices. Russian as well as foreign models of social and pedagogical activities are studied. Author’s view on the role of philosophy in education in the aims and values of contemporary education and organization of alternative school is presented.
