The names of the fictional characters as an emotional and evaluative means in mass communication

The article deals with the analysis of the names of the fictional characters who obtained and changed the figurative evaluative meanings in the Post-Soviet period. There is revealed the connotative potential of these onyms in the Russian linguistic culture, there is demonstrated that they are the effective emotional and evaluative means in mass communication and can be used not only for nomination but also for the characteristics of the different phenomena of the modern conditions.
