Текст научной статьи Increase of social activity of modern youth

In the present period, even with the most positive and favorable living conditions, young people are often passive, that means not interested in independent activities and only able to assimilate existing experience, without making efforts to transform the environment. But in the modern Russian Federation being active is often the main quality of young people, for it is activity that allows you to solve your problems and transform society.

The problem of social activity among young students is also relevant for several reasons:

  • 1.    The need for communication;

  • 2.    The need for self-realization;

  • 3.    The need for identification;

  • 4.    The need for independent activities.

In order to understand how to increase the social activity of modern youth, it is necessary to clarify the essence of the concepts “youth” and “social activity”.

Youth is a socio-demographic group that is distinguished on the basis of age, as well as social status and is characterized by specific interests and values. This category includes persons aged from 14 to 30 years, and in some cases that are determined by the regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation and constituent entities of the Russian Federation - up to 35 and more years of permanent residence in the Russian Federation or living abroad (citizens of Federations and compatriots).

Social activity is the need of the individual to maintain or change the foundations of life in accordance with his worldview and with his value orientations. Positive social activity is determined by the obligation. In fact, social activity is aimed at self-change for the benefit of themselves and others, and in addition to changing the circumstances of people's lives. A significant circumstance for the formation of social activity is the totality of all conditions affecting a person. [2]

The method of increasing the social activity of young people is a socio-pedagogical technology.

Socio-pedagogical technology is a complex of pedagogical techniques and methods that purposefully act on the activity, consciousness, and also the behavior of an individual as a member of society in the process of its socialization, adaptation to new social conditions and socially oriented activities.

Nowadays, there is no proven, and most importantly, unified methodology for increasing the social activity of young students.

The methods of increasing the social activity of young people, as a socio-pedagogical technology, include the following:

  • -    Methods of development of consciousness, such as lectures, explanations, admonitions, disputes, stories, explanations, ethical conversations, briefings, etc .;

  • -    Methods of organizing activities and forming experience of behavior, such as exercises, educating situations, assignments and pedagogical requirements.

  • -    Methods of stimulation and correction, such as encouragement, punishment, competition.

Kostrikin A.V. identifies the following forms of the process of increasing the social activity of young people:

  • -    training

  • -    contests;

  • -    internships;

  • -    youth exchanges;

  • -    creation of creative environment.

Thus, in the Russian Federation a large number of various measures are being taken to increase the social activity of young students, but as studies show, young people still have a low level of social activity.
