Individual typological determinants of conflictological competence of the police officers

The relevance of the study is due to the high level of conflict in the professional activities of police officers and insufficient development of the issue of conflictological competence in the context of the individual typological approach. In the article the author discusses conflictological competence as a specific type of professional competence. The psychological content and scheme of the research analysis of the components of conflictological competence of the police officers are revealed. The indicators of conflictological competence / incompetence for reflexive-evaluative, emotional-volitional, motivational-value and behavioral components are recorded. The severity of the police officers’s of individual typological characteristics has been analyzed. Negative characteristics provoking manifestations of conflictological incompetence of police officers by type of character accentuations (hyperthymic and emotive), which are expressed at the level of tendency or have a high degree of representation, are considered. Based on the results of the correlation analysis, it is shown that conflictological competencies are represented to varying degrees among police officers, taking into account their individual typological characteristics.
