This paper attempts to evaluate the potential of infographics as a special way of presenting information by considering them as a source text (IT) for further translation. The emergence of new technologies, the creation of more intuitive, understandable and accessible software, the use of the Internet and free access to it, which opens up more and more opportunities for obtaining information every year, have led to a change in the ways of representing data, creating, interpreting and understanding information content. The pre-translation analysis of IT is conducted in the framework of cognitive-discursive analysis: the ways of visual data perception, their categorization and conceptualization are considered. In the course of the study, the INFOGRAFÍA conceptual schema is also modelled using frame modelling, the slots of this frame are described and the main semantic links between the verbal realisations of its slots and sub-slots are revealed. The structure of the conceptual schema seems to be quite branched, and the predominant types of semantic relations between lexemes slots are "part-whole" relations and synonymy.
