Infomatics and the present society

The role of computer science in the development of society is extremely great. Today there is not a single branch of science and technology in the world that would develop as rapidly as computer science. Every two years there is a change of generations of hardware and software of computer facilities. In fact, in recent years, there has been a revolution in the transmission, accumulation and processing of information. This revolution, affects and fundamentally transforms all areas of human life.

Our time is called the information age. Our state pays much attention to the informatization of society. This is evidenced by a number of adopted decrees and decrees in this area. The last of them is the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the establishment of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

Informatics is a very modern field of knowledge. In the modern world, we face new technologies every day.1

Without the achievements of computer science, there would be no computers, the Internet and other new technologies that have already become familiar to us. There would not even be computers that can perform complex calculations in fractions of a second. And calculations are needed everywhere: in production, in banks, on transport lines. Life would be much more complicated if the computer science did not develop to the level that it is now.

A significant increase in the capabilities of computer equipment, the development of information networks, the creation of new information technologies lead to radical changes in all spheres of society: in production, science, education, medicine, etc. The peoples of developed countries are aware that the improvement of information technology is the most important, although costly and difficult task.

Informatization is a complex social process associated with significant changes in the way of life of the population. It requires serious efforts in many areas, including the elimination of computer illiteracy, the formation of a culture of using new information technologies,

The goal of informatization is to improve the quality of life of people by increasing productivity and facilitating the conditions of their work.
