Information culture and safety of schoolchildren in the digital environment

The article focuses on the problem of information security of schoolchildren in the digital environment, since, without the necessary social experience, children and adolescents are the most vulnerable, exposed to the negative effects of the digital world category of the population. In the current circumstances, one of the tasks of the general education system is to form an information culture of the schoolchildren, able, among other things, to withstand this impact. The novelty of the study is an attempt to identify the risks and threats to the information security of modern schoolchildren. The results of the study are presented as a comparison of the data obtained in 2018 and 2022. In the first stage 236 students took part in the survey, in the second - 346 students. Consequently, some risks and threats to which participants in the educational process should pay special attention were identified. The study conducted among school students reasonably indicates the need to take into account the peculiarities of the educational environment of rural schools in the light of the new requirements of the FSES in the direction of the digital transformation of education.
