Initiation in the light of the sense-genetic theory of culture

The phenomenon of initiation, the oldest spiritual practice of mankind, is striking in its historical stability. Socialization and inculturation occurring in initiation rituals serve to harmonize both the personality itself and its relationship with society. In modern versions of initiation, the problem of their low efficiency is fixed. The article, on the one hand, asserts the main condition for the effectiveness of initiation in the implementation of sacred communication, and on the other hand, an attempt is made to explain the action of the initiation mechanism through the main provisions of the semantic-genetic theory of culture, based on the results of modern scientific research.
