The problems of innovative development of Russian enterprises caused by insufficient funding of science are considered. It is shown that the share of R & d expenditures in our country is significantly lower than in developed countries. The salaries of researchers are also far from world standards. Underfunding of science creates a lag in the implementation of innovations and reduces the competitiveness of Russian enterprises. Measures are proposed to overcome the identified shortcomings.
