The article analyses the preconditions of teachers’ personal development inherent to the innovative processes of the modern education system. The author considers the trends of education development, related to the changes in the structure of education, hierarchy and relationship of the component structure, functional purpose and so on. One of the key points of the article is comprehension of changes in the functions of teaching, expansion of the tasks assigned to teachers in the modern educational space.
