Innovative model of scientifi c and pedagogical support for students’ research work at a tourist university

The main focus of this paper is on studying the process of young researcher’s personal development through the inclusion of a student in scientific work at a higher education institution. The role and place, as well as the specifics of university science, are determined. The issues of legal and regulatory regulation of research activity at a university are consistently considered, and the specifics of its organization are reflected. A structured innovative model of scientific and pedagogical support for students’ research work is proposed, based on the example of a tourism- oriented university, which, in addition to the goals, objectives, and approaches, includes mechanisms, blocks, levels, and task tracks. The paper examines the tracks of a young scientist’s formation and development trajectory. It analyzes the activity specifics of a student scientific university association using the example of a specific university. The paper describes the tracks that include the objectives of “the Decade of science and technology”. The paper analyzes the results of a questionnaire survey of students and draws corresponding conclusions. The authors identify modern trends that reveal the possibilities of student university science, as well as the place of scientific research and project activities of students in implementing the system of sustainable tourism development in Russia. The criteria of the innovative model effectiveness are determined. The goals of scientific research in the field of tourism are revealed: the comprehensive growth of the country tourism potential, the development of new tourist destinations and clusters in the Russian regions that are located far from the center, the training level of qualified personnel, etc. Some results of implementing the innovative model including scientific and pedagogical support for students’ research activities at a tourism university are summarized.
