Innovative techniques of distance learning

The article deals with the expandability of the traditional distance learning by Internet technologies. The basis and the advantages of the Internet technologies application are described. The authors analyze the international experience in the creation of educational content. The most large-scale projects: Coursera, edX, TedEd and others are reviewed. It is revealed that the open educational resources available in Russia are at the stage of formation. The establishment and widespread use of OCW and MOOC in the universities, and their integration into the general federal educational content are required.
