Foreign language education as a means of general culture development of a primary schoolchild

The paper reveals the concept of «foreign language education», its possibility as a means of general culture development of a primary schoolchild. The author indicates the topicality of the problem, the necessity to solve it in order to implement Federal State Education Standards of Primary General Education. Based on the analysis of pedagogical and culturological sources, the paper characterizes the structure of foreign language education and offers the ways and methods to develop general culture of a primary schoolchild.
