The article deals with the foreign language education in the general educational institutions of the Republic of Crimea from the position of national and foreign languages studied at the schools of the half island. There are revealed the positive and negative sides of the education development in the sphere of teaching foreign languages. The results of the research can be used during the modernization of the foreign language education in the general educational institutions of the Republic of Crimea.
