Integration of regional logistics channels into a unified transport and logistics system as a condition for an effective response of the Russian economy to international challenges

The relevance of the study lies in the fact that the rapid change in geopolitics has led to drastic changes in international economic relations under the influence of sanctions that destroy partnerships, primarily in the field of logistics, linking the management of material, financial, transport, service, and information flows. The purpose of this study is to develop approaches for building a modern transnational transport and logistics system that combines different types of transportation (by rail, road and other types), what generally contributes to providing the necessary conditions for overcoming negative trends in international challenges. It is obvious that Russia, due to the scale of its territory, geographical location, resource potential, and geopolitical position, has every reason and opportunity to develop and effectively implement transport and logistics policy, both in the format of national and international transport corridors, what implies the introduction of modern infrastructure support, the use of innovative technologies in the course of construction and installation works and maintenance of transport and logistics channels. The transport and logistics policy should be implemented consistently in the following priority areas: the development of promising and mutually beneficial transport and logistics channels for the movement of goods; interstate and interregional spatial development of logistics links in order to strengthen the connectivity of regions; expansion of international cooperation by integrating regional logistics channels into the international transport and logistics system. The improvement of transport and logistics infrastructure due to the strengthening of connectivity of territories is an essential condition for obtaining not only economic, but also social, technological, scientific and other effects since logistics chains strengthen and increase the stability of economic ties, and create an opportunity for business initiative. Thus, the "sustainable development" of territories due to their logistical connectivity, the effectiveness of spatial and timing management of material and related flows creates conditions for obtaining an economic effect for all participants of the transport and logistics system in the long term, including in conditions of risk and uncertainty.
