Integration of WorldSkills standards of "Hotel reception" competence into professional training of hospitality industry specialists

The article discusses the specifics of the competence «Hotel Reception» and its role in the formation of hard- and softskills among future hotel industry specialists. Particular attention is paid to the specification of WorldSkills standards in the training system for qualified personnel in the hospitality industry. The assessment criteria of students in the competency under consideration, reveals the features of the organization and conduct of the demonstration exam are analyzed. The experience of training hotel service specialists in accordance with WorldSkills specification standards in the «Hotel Reception» competency is presented on the example of a particular educational institution.
