The principal problems of studying mathematical analysis at school and in a teachers training higher educational institution and the ways of their solving are dealt in the article. The necessity of professional orientation of a mathematical analysis course in a higher educational institution is emphasised. Special attention is paid to the problem of forming integral knowledge of students.
