Interactive tools for self-examination of lexical material in teaching foreign languages

The article considers two interactive online tools - Wordwall and Quizlet, which can be integrated into the process of teaching foreign languages. They are characterized by the presence of various technological functions, and can also be used for didactic purposes. On the technological side, Wordwall and Quizlet allow students to create a variety of tasks for practicing lexical skills autonomously, as well as use in the learning process of ready-made exercises prepared by other teachers. From a didactic point of view the use of such instruments in education allow not only to form a lexical skill but also to control the acquisition of knowledge and the degree of formation of this skill. Moreover, analysis of the experience of domestic and foreign colleagues suggests that these tools can also be effectively used in testing knowledge of the socio-cultural aspects of the language under study.
