Purpose. To analyze the effect of intraoperative seroma prevention methods on lymphorrea duration, volume and postoperative complications. Materials and methods. The research comprises 90 breast cancer patients after radical Madden’s mastectomy. I group (30 patients) - untrasound lymphdissection with axillary myoplasty, II group (30 patients) - fibrin glue spraying with axillary myoplasty, III group - 30 patients after radical Madden’s mastectomy. Results. The article shows the influence of fibrin glue spraying and untrasound lymphdissection with axillary myoplasty on lymphorrea duration and volume, on the time of drain removing and on the operation duration. Moreover, the article describes the influence of body mass index on the seroma duration. On the other hand, the article shows that the level of serum albumen and total protein has no influence on seroma duration. Combination of untrasound lymphdissection with axillary myoplasty reduces lymphorrea duration to 13,3 days and volume to 3149 ml in comparison with the control group. Combination of fibrin glue spraying with axillary myoplasty reduces lymphorrea duration to 11 days and volume to 2904 ml in comparison with the control group. Conclusions. The intraoperative methods of seroma prevention reduce the frequency and severity of postoperative complications.
