Investment priorities of the development of the Stavropol region

In the article the experience of the application of program and target methodology in practice of the strategic territorial management in Stavropol Krai is studied. This region is the catalyst of the economic growth in the North Caucasian federal district. The author notes that, despite the fact that in regions of the North Caucasian federal district favorable conditions for the development of the agrarian and industrial complex, tourism, power industry, extracting and processing industries are created, cardinally it wasn’t a successful attempt to improve the social and economic situation in this territory. That’s why the investment priorities of the State program “Development of the North Caucasian federal district for the period till 2025” approved in 2014 are connected with the formation of conditions for the advanced development of the economy of the district and the creation of new workplaces.
