Investment potential of the Khanty-Mansi autonomous area - Yugra and the first-priority areas of its exploitation based on the formation and development of the cluster system

The article analyzes the structure and the dynamics of the main indicators of investment activity in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area - Yugra. The author compares their values with similar indicators of the Russian Federation, assesses investment potential of the region, and identifies first-priority areas for exploitation of the investment potential, which involves the formation and development of the diversified clusters system. The undertaken study suggests that the autonomous area has sufficient investment potential for development and reserves for the growth of investment into the capital stock, while the cluster approach to strategic investment planning allows to use more efficiently the investment potential of the territory.
