The purpose of this article is to develop an engineering method of hydraulic calculation, which avoids the need to find a solution to a system of differential equations for a given problem. The performance characteristics of a centrifugal pump are required. They are taken from the technical documentation. The dependence of pressure and power consumption on supply can be approximated by polynomials of the second degree. The decrease in water consumption over time (that is, with an increase in static pressure) occurs almost linearly. This allows us to propose an engineering calculation method without having to solve a system of differential equations. The method is based on the hypothesis of quasi-stationary flow.
