An ultrasound examination is a widely available and frequently used method of breast imaging. Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) software development are helping ultrasound diagnosticians interpret breast lesions. This article provides an overview of the literature on the possibilities, challenges, limitations, and prospects of using AI in breast ultrasound diagnostics. It also discusses legal and technical challenges affecting the use of AI in clinical practice. Additionally, the article emphasizes the potential significance of AI as a decision support system for diagnostic screening, particularly for young specialists.
