The use of the Internet as a means of increasing motivation when learning English in the middle level of secondary school during the pandemic

The problem of motivation of schoolchildren is currently one of the most important in pedagogy, especially during the pandemic, when the whole world had to switch to distance learning. This problem is complicated by the fact that it is necessary to take into account the age characteristics of students. There are many ways to increase the motivation of learning, and one of them is the Internet. The use of the Internet when learning a foreign language increases the motivation of learning and creates conditions for the formation of foreign language communicative competence. The paper reveals the concept of information and pedagogical technologies and considers the possibilities of their use for self-learning during a pandemic and further use in English lessons in the classroom. The article presents the approbation of several Internet resources that help in learning English for different ages of secondary school students during self-education. This method gave a good result of the possession of educational material after the release of students from distance learning.
