According to the study, the diagnostics of intellectual activity of elementary school pupils in the situation of failure is less informative than in the situation of success or in the situations of variable successes and failures. The author asserts that situational intellectual activity of children substantially depends on their selfestimation of success in the performance of the offered intellectual task.
