Structural failure behavior research for the planar stressed plates based on numerical modeling

The multiple criteria failure model for the orthotropic material in plane stress is discussed. Numerical modeling algorithm of structural failure with account of multiple phases is presented. This work contains results for numerical failure modeling of the orthotropic plates in the form of calculating strain curves containing dependent branch. The cases of different failure mechanism realizations based on totality of failure criteria are considered. The influence of stochastic nature of material strength parameters on failure process is shown.
