Exploring the role of today's information environment in shaping the world's image among modern schoolchildren

The key concepts of the present article are “image of the world” and “information environment”. Various points of view on their definition in science are noted. It is established that the existing studies are scattered and focus only on certain components of the world image at different stages of human age development, and some aspects of its formation among adolescents have not been considered by scientists at all. The influence of the information environment on shaping of the world's image of individuals who have entered puberty is revealed. Using a number of methods applied to the respondents of two research groups from among the students of grades 7-8 of secondary schools in Grozny (n = 52), it was found that the information and communication environment determines the axiological system of adolescents, their moral and psychoemotional attitudes, and helps them to create their own communication strategy and model their life path.
