The article presents the research results dealing with the level of basic needs’ satisfaction of university employees. The author considers the hierarchy of needs and the level of satisfaction of five groups of needs: material, in safety, social (interpersonal), in recognition and in self-actualization. The paper compares the level of basic needs’ satisfaction of two groups of university employees: non-academic members of administration and assistants and higher-education teaching personnel.
