Study of stress resistance of high school students

The article presents the rationale for studying the stress resistance of an individual in high school age, as well as the possibility of influencing its development. The authors’ definition and understanding of personality stress resistance in the context of modern concepts and theories is given. The work itself is devoted to studying the characteristics of stress resistance in high school age using the test by T. Ivanchenko et al. “Inventory of stress symptoms”, the test “Probability of Stress Development” by J.H. Taylor adapted by T.A. Nemchin, self-assessment test of stress resistance by S. Couchen and G. Willianson, methods for determining the dominant state of L.V. Kulikova. The results of diagnostics of high school students’ stress resistance, likelihood of stress development in them, inventory of stress symptoms and dominant states, as well as correlation relations of the studied variables are presented. An analysis of the effectiveness of the program developed by the authors to increase the stress resistance of an individual in high school age, implemented in a secondary school, is provided.
