The purpose of the article is to study the relationship between stress, time spent on the Internet and meeting students’ needs using World Wide Web. The study involved 74 students of the Pedagogical Institute. Based on the data obtained, we concluded that there is a relationship between stress levels and the time spent on the Internet. In addition, a link has been found between time spent on the Internet and pursuing prestigious and spiritual needs on the Internet. At the same time, the biological age of the respondents was less important in meeting these needs on the Internet. The correlation was found between measures of stress level, the feeling of loneliness and satisfaction of existential needs. However, no significant role of stress and time on the Internet was found in relation to the needs that respondents satisfied on the Internet. The study identifies the further ways of studying this problem
