Exploring the possibility of strengthening China's state identity by studying the Russian experience

State identity is linked to nation-building, national development and social stability. It is an important factor in a state’s response to global political and economic challenges. China and Russia, countries with economies in transition, face the problem of shaping State identities. Patriotic education of the population has a major role in the formation of state identity. The article chronologically presents and analyses a number of official measures to enhance patriotic education in the Russian Federation. In addition, other methods and techniques of patriotic education of youth, such as the achievements of Russian cinema in this field, are listed. The conclusion lists elements of the formation of state identity that can be perceived by the official authorities of the PRC in the process of implementing the Chinese dream policy.
