In the winter period of stall barn housing, animals experience an acute shortage of biologically active compounds - hormones, enzymes, vitamins. One of the most accessible, cheap and effective ways to eliminate their deficiency is the inclusion of sprouted grain in the diet of animals, because in the process of germination, enzyme systems are activated, and complex biologically active substances are broken down into simple ones that are easily assimilated by animals. The article presents studies of the chemical composition of natural and germinated seeds of grain crops - wheat, rye, triticale, barley. As a result of the experiments, it was found that the germination process has a positive effect on the chemical composition of grain crops.
