The article compares experimental studies and the analytical description of separation process of grain material particles in separating devices installed in the rotating drum of the separating grain thrower. It studies centrifugal forces effect on a particle in rotating drum of the device and gravitational forces in a stationary system and compares their effectiveness in the cleaning of grain material. Studies have shown efficiency of grain material from impurities by separating grain thrower is 73-76 % at a grain feed of 19 tons per hour and a content of 12 % impurities in the initial grain. The main geometric and kinematic parameters of the separating grain thrower are determined. Experimental dependencies of influence of main parameters of the separating grain thrower on cleaning efficiency are given.
