Siberian text studies in the People’s Republic of China

Since the 1990s, the interdisciplinary studies of space have occupied a prominent place in the humanities, with spatial theory establishing itself as a new theoretical framework for contemporary literary research. In the field of Russian literary studies in the People’s Republic of China, the “Siberian text” has emerged as a focal point of academic interest following “urban texts”. Currently, the research of Siberian texts primarily focuses on imperial consciousness, nationality, and universalism. The further development of literary geography and other emerging research theories opens new possibilities for interpreting the Siberian texts.
