The history of regional music culture is a part of historical, social, ethnographic components of region development. The article discusses the value of development of the music education system as one of the terms of preservation of the traditional music culture, training of music teachers competent in the interpretation of their own musical knowledge and skills in the context of the musical culture of Khanty and Mansi.
