Historical and cultural origin of the virtual world of A.Schnitzler's novels

Analysis of the historical and cultural origin of the virtual world of Schnitzler's novels is carried out with respect to the fact that Schnitzler was a member of the so called 'Young Vienna' community of young contemporary Austrian authors, which group met always in the Cafe 'Grinstaidl'. He was very sensitive about the mood, temper and atmosphere of the Aus-tro-Hungarian spirit of the age at the end of the 19 th century. This becomes obvious, when we take in consideration his preferred genre, his narration stile within the different literary forms of his work as well as his heroes and the scenes of the stories.
