The historical and cultural component of engineering education of the future (theoretical aspect)

The article is devoted to the perspectives of teaching the disciplines of the historical and cultural cycle in the conditions of a technical university. The main principles of formation of the above component, its importance in the process of training of engineers of the future are considered. The aim of the study is theoretical and practical aspects of implementing the historical and cultural component of professional training of engineers and determining the directions for its improvement. The methodological basis is the systemic and competence-based approach to the study of the professional activities of scientific-pedagogical personnel. As a result of the study, the main tasks are formulated, which in the future will have to be solved within the entire system of engineering education. Trends affecting the development of engineering education in the context of globalization have been identified. The necessity of forming an innovative educational environment and introducing learner-centered technologies and practice-oriented mechanisms into the learning process was emphasized. Amendments in this direction will help to ensure the consistent development of a socially active and professionally oriented personality.
