The article provides a brief analysis of the main problems of archim. Konstantin (Zaitsev)’s philosophy of history as a special unique phenomenon of strictly Churchbased Russian historiosophical thought. Three main semantic “nodes” of his concept are considered: 1) Russia as a phenomenon of world history; 2) the causes of the Russian Catastrophe of the twentieth century; 3) the world is on the verge of the Apocalypse. This type of historiosophy is assessed as a clear adherence to biblical Revelation and patristic thought in the field of historical thinking. For the modern consciousness, such an understanding of history requires special effort.
