The article describes the experience of teaching the course "Media and information literacy of the teacher of the Russian language and literature" for bachelor students of the philological faculty of the Orenburg State Pedagogical University. Several sections from the methodology of media education are analyzed in detail: the use of media technologies in literature lessons, electives and extracurricular activities. Examples of similar lessons developed by students are given.
