The review is dedicated to the edition of a bibliography of A.P. Chekhov’s lifetime criticism, which its author, A.P. Chudakov, collected for over 40 years but was unable to complete and publish during his lifetime. The researcher gave great importance on studying Chekhov’s lifetime criticism, believing that such reviews of the writer’s work reflected the vibrant literary process and were important for understanding his innovative artistic system. Working on the bibliography, Chudakov looked through a great amount of books and periodicals from Chekhov’s time. Published almost 20 years after its author’s passing, this bibliography opens great opportunities for researchers.
