Study of people's autobiographic notions of their development

The article describes the results of the empirical study examining people’s autobiographic notions of their development. It is shown that people with unalike styles of family upbringing they experienced as children differently evaluate parents’ role in their development and have differences in their leading value orientations. Simultaneously there remains subjectivity in the autobiographic notions which reveals itself in social desirability. The conclusion is drawn that autobiographic notions might influence on the forming of personality defense mechanism.
