Study of attitudes towards patriotism as an aspect of civic education of students in the direction of “Pedagogical education”

The article reveals the relevance of patriot education as one of the priority areas of students' civic education in the direction of “Pedagogical education” in the context of modern radical social changes. The importance of the implementation of the Federal project “Patriotic education” in the process of professional training of future teachers, which is mainly focused on mass educational activities to form moral views based on love for the fatherland and the fulfillment of civic duty, is described. Based on the criteria and indicators of the patriot's education outlined in the “Strategy for Development and Education in the Russian Federation for the Period until 2025”, the diagnostic method “Unfinished Proposals” was used, which consisted of five blocks: “Need for help to another”, “My experience of helping another” (motivational and requirement-based criteria), “Patriotism as a concept”, “Civic position of a teacher” (cognitive and intellectual criteria), “Attitude towards one' s country” (emotional and value-based criterion). As conclusions, the article presents the need to create psychological and pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of the education of a patriot and citizen of their country.
