Study of the specific pharmacological activity of the sequence of the peptide inhibitor of RAS- GTpase in vitro

Lung cancer (LC) is one of the most common malignant neoplasms in the world population. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, the incidence of lung cancer has increased several tens of times, and its growth is particularly pronounced in industrialized countries. Incidence of a subtype of lung cancer - adenocarcinoma of the lung - in Russia is 22 cases per 100 thousand people. The growth of morbidity coincides with the growth of mortality. The search for new effective methods of lung cancer treatment is an urgent clinical task.The presented article shows the results of in vitro studies of Ras-GTPase peptide inhibitor (K26K) sequence efficiency on lung adenocarcinoma and non-small cell lung cancer cell lines. In the course of this work, it was shown that the studied drug has a pronounced cytotoxic activity, which is determined by an increase in the number of dead cells and a decrease in the number of live cells in the cultures of the used lines, and is a potential antitumor drug.
