Studying the influence of the emotional intelligence of an organizational leader on his ability to implement transformational leadership strategies

The article provides definitions of the concepts of “emotional intelligence” and “transformational leadership”. The structural elements of emotional intelligence (self-management ability, social awareness, relationship management) are identified. The main areas of research into this phenomenon are highlighted: the influence of emotional intelligence on managerial qualities, its role in different areas of management (virtual teams, educational institutions, corporate management, government and commercial organizations), transformational leadership as a mechanism for the development of an organization. The article provides data from an empirical study, and concludes that the emotional intelligence of a manager has the most pronounced effect on the formation of a favorable psychological climate in an organization. It is noted that a certain level of development of the emotional intelligence of a manager is necessary for the implementation of transformational leadership strategies.
