The phenomemon of perephrasing and the specificity of pun in the individual style of authors of English and American literature

The article deals with such a concept as" paraphrasing", which is analyzed as a type of phraseological wordplay on the example of the work of Lewis Carroll "Alice in Wonderland". And also the specificity of the pun in the individual style of the authors. The peculiarity of this article is that the wordplay considered in it largely determines the character of the writer's style, which is an important aspect for translating a work.
