In recent decades, cognitive linguistics has begun to develop rapidly, engaged in the study of the problem of the correlation of language and consciousness. Central to the study of cognitive linguistics is the term "concept". This term has many analogues (linguocultureme, logoepisteme, mythologeme, noeme), but it is the concept that has established itself as the most common in cognitive linguistics. The term "concept" appears not only in cognitive linguistics, but also in other spheres of knowledge: philosophy, logic and psychology. Analysis of concepts allows us to consider the peculiarities of their use, their content which is due to the cultural and historical characteristics of a nation, and shows differences in the construction of associative series. Our research lies in the field of cognitive and linguocultural problems. Language as a sign system allows us to consolidate and display in ourselves an evaluative picture of the human world, which determines how we perceive reality. In our work we use the method of free associative experiment which is increasingly used in linguistic research nowadays. Our choice is due to the informativeness and relative ease of the research method, which helps to approach the mental vocabulary and cultural stereotypes of a nation. When modeling the nominative field of the ПЕРЕВОДЧИК/ TRANSLATOR concept, we used corpus analysis of contexts.
